Today I have finished the principal filming for My FMP. I have been working in the studio on the 17/5/2011 and today 18/5/2011. I spent the best part of yesterday setting up the lightning in the studio. The shoot began at around 11:00 am and finished just before 12:00pm.
The primary objective for the shoot was to get the correct balance of lighting. This had originally caused several minor problems. The first problem was with what the two participants would wear. If they wore black then there would be a major contrast between the background and their clothing. This was solved by the two people involved wearing a plain white t shirt each. This gave the shoot a more organised aesthetic. This also avoided making the piece look like a typical 'student' film.
The second obstacle to make the tables look more appropriate and give the shoot a more credential look. The tables were reflecting light due to the smooth, bright surfaces. I solved this by covering them in 3 metres of black lining cloth.
The next step of the progress is to finish the piece tomorrow. I have set this date to finish the piece to give enough time to finalize my plans for the exhibition and get the adequate resources (shelves, brackets etc.)
